Use Safe Passage to safely tunnel through your firewall to the Internet

as VPN | Protect your privacy | Access internet beyond firewall

The only difference between normal Internet usage and using Safe Passage is that your Internet connections can be made from your SSH server, not your PC. Assuming your PROXY/SOCKS/Firewall allows you to connect to your SSH host, you can privately tunnel your traffic via that SSH host. It is important to select an SSH Server that runs on a port which your PROXY/SOCKS/Firewall allows outgoing connections to. The standard port for SSH is 22. Some firewalls limit outgoing connections on port 22, but as a general rule allow port 443 (SSL.) Although difficult to find, there are some SSH Account Hosts that run SSH servers on non-standard ports (i.e. port 443.)
