As with any software, there are always some issues that may have to be worked around or understood. Most of the time these issues are a result of dependencies on other software or operating systems that are beyond a developers control. We will keep this page updated with these issues as well as bugs with Safe Passage.
Issue with OpenSSH Servers using IPv6 on Linux
Problem: While connected to some SSH Servers using Linux and IPv6 some DNS queries are known to hang. This results in the very slow loading of some web sites while tunneling with Safe Passage. You will be able to tell if your SSH account has this problem if you visit www.whatismyipaddress.com and if it hangs for long periods of time your SSH account host has this problem.
Solution: Ask your host provider to start OpenSSH with the "-4" switch on. This forces the server to use IPv4 exclusively (IPv4 is the standard internet), or switch SSH hosts.
