I am connecting to a linux firewall/router/dhcp server with sshd with the latest version of Safe Passage which I downloaded from your website.

Safe Passage opens the tunnel fine. I am using exclude mode.

I can't connect to any windows shares on the remote lan.

I'm not sure if the configuration I am using is correct though.

From what I've read in the forums and SP documentation I should be able to connect to windows shares right? Start->run->\\windowsbox or \\192.x.x.x gives a: "network path not found error'

Both ip ranges for the remote and local lan are 192.168.1.x could this be a problem? I'm going to try changing the local router to 10.10.10.x to see if that helps...

Ok I don't know what Im doing....

I changed the ip on my local router to 10.x.x.x and then when I tried connecting to the tunnel everything works ok 'cept I couldn't ping anything from a cmd prompt?? Pinging from the shell in Safepassage was fine however.

I rebooted a couple of times and now its working I can access the shares fine.

What could be cause this intermittent behaviour? I'm going to keep testing.

My last post wasn't clear... I mean I couldn't ping any sites like google. I realize that pinging remote lan won't work....
